Fees & Rebates

I am registered with Medicare Australia and Private Health Funds, enabling rebates to be accessed.

Medicare Rebate

To be eligible to receive the Medicare rebates you will first need to visit your GP who will assess you against certain criteria and, if eligible, prepare a Mental Health Care Plan and provide you with a referral (Referrals can also be made by Psychiatrists).

If eligible, you will be able to receive rebates for up to 20 sessions per calendar year. Your referring doctor will assess your progress after the first six sessions for a possible further four sessions.

If you have a concession card (i.e. health care card or pensioners card) and a Mental Health Care Plan from you GP, bulk billing will be provided through Medicare for the 20 sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Rebates

Most private health funds offer rebates for Clinical Psychology services if you have "Extras" cover. Rebates vary depending on your fund and your level of cover. Contact your health fund for the latest rebate information.

Please note that you are not permitted to use Medicare and private health insurance for the same consultation.
